REST IN PEACE ELIZABETH!

Once considered by many to be the most beautiful woman in the world and The Queen of Hollywood, Elizabeth Taylor died of congestive heart failure at age 79.

The man she married twice, Richard Burton found her beauty so rare that he loved to lavish her with the finest jewels in the world, including the rarest of them all, the Hope Diamond. Of course anyone who knows vintage Hollywood knows what a fine actress she was throughout her life, and in later years an advocate for AIDS awareness. Most recently however I was stricken by one thing about Liz.. At one time, she and Michael Jackson were very close friends, and as far as I know, she never spoke publicly about his death. Maybe I missed it, or maybe she'd been too ill to address it, but I found that to be very curious indeed. Did you ever hear Liz speak to Michael's death?

May you rest in peace beautiful Liz ...

  1. The Today show just mentioned her loyalty to Jackson until his death.

She was an interesting person, to say the least.

  3. I missed the news this morning, and am sorry that she died. I loved her movies, National Velvet was my favorite when I was younger. I always though her to be strikingly beautiful. May she rest in peace.

  4. That seems so young. But she was great in many movies, I loved her in the one with Paul Newman, what was the name of that one? She was his wife. Oh, yea, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Maggie the cat.

  6. She spoke of Michael throughout the years proceeding the pedophilia scandals - after that not too often though she remained a close friend of his. I think she was silent after his death because there was so much hoopla surrounding it she was loather to add more. MPO

  7. Aah, La Liz...she was truly one of a kind. May she rest in peace. Satisfy your lust for great movies by watching Liz in "Raintree County", with Mongtgomery Clift. See if you can tell which scenes were filmed AFTER the accident that disfigured his face....Liz literally saved his life! Then follow it up with a viewing of "Giant" and the original "Father of the Bride" with Spencer Tracy as the dad in a panic....priceless!

  8. They said she attended his funerals. I believe that in true friendship like theirs, if you make mistakes we should forgive, and it did seem no one could ever prove he touched the kids. I am not saying it was right to sleep with them, but he did not have a real childhood, and often with children of abuse and other they remain childlike, so I feel he was only living what he did not have...a personal experience I have seen...often pedi's are themselves...its rare they just become one, but were abused themselves once...

She was and still is beautiful...
